Simulate an "Amazon Mission", climbing "Everest", or surviving after being "Stranded" by conducting mathematics investigations and using the engineering design process to solve problems! Explore the

Building Math instructional materials developed through a partnership between the Boston Museum of Science and Tufts University . These problem based learning units are sure to engage and excite middle school students while learning and reinforcing key mathematical concepts.  All participants will receive the three Building Math reproducible teacher's books upon completion of the two-day training.
Note: Twelve (12) GT hours will count toward 12 GT hours for annual recertification or 30-hour certification but not in lieu of Curriculum and Instruction - Day 3.

Stranded (7th Grade): 3rd, 4th, & 5th Six Weeks
