Anxiety and Depression: Responding to Internalizing Behaviors

The At-Risk Services Network is designed to keep school personnel up-to-date and informed on best practices related to at-risk students. The network will provide the opportunity for school personnel from all areas to keep informed, share information and resources, and build a network of support with other campuses and districts.

Anxiety and depression are common mental health issues in children and adolescents, however the resulting behaviors are often missed or misunderstood. These behaviors may include self-harm, eating disorders, obsessive thinking and behavior or suicide attempts.

This workshop will explore the underlying mental health issues that may lead to the internalizing behaviors, screening tools to aid in identification, and evidence-based interventions that may be used in the school setting.

Trainings within the At-Risk Services Network are free for districts with At-Risk Services Network membership. Non-members may also register for this workshop.

CEUs are available for licensed social workers and licensed counselors upon request.
