Leadership in Action Leading Effective School Counseling Programs that Work

The Counselor Support Services Cooperative is designed to provide districts and campuses with the latest state-level information, targeted professional development, and individualized support services to meet the unique needs related to a comprehensive developmental guidance and counseling program.  The Cooperative provides the opportunity for school counselors of all levels to share and build a network of support with fellow counselors and attend presentations featuring ESC 13 staff, along with other experts in the field.  Leading the Cooperative efforts, the Region 13 College and Career Guidance Specialist is highly qualified with many years of experience in the school counseling role at all levels, and thus, brings to the Cooperative an understanding of the daily responsibilities of counselors and practical suggestions for efficiency and effectiveness.  Based on annual surveys and feedback from the counselors in Region 13, professional development opportunities are specifically designed to support counselor needs relating to college and career readiness in order for school districts to attain and maintain high quality guidance and counseling programs that will produce students who are not only college and career eligible but are college and career ready.

Tracey R. Brown, Ph.D., and Courtney D. Jackson, Ed.D., will offer valuable tips on how to use planning, goal-setting, implementation strategies, and evaluation to build effective school counseling programs that produce positive student results.

This workshop is prepaid for members of the Counselor Cooperative, please remember to use your promotional code when registering.
