At-Risk Services Network: LGBTQ & You: Supporting All Students

The At-Risk Services Network is designed to keep school personnel up-to-date and informed on best practices related to at-risk students. The network will provide the opportunity for school personnel from all areas to keep informed, share information and resources, and build a network of support with other campuses and districts.

Participants will learn ways to provide affirming and inclusive educational practices for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning, or LGBTQ+ students. We will summarize important LGBTQ terminology, describe physical, social, emotional and educational disparities, and explain the importance of effective communication to provide affirming support.
