The At-Risk Services Network is designed to keep school personnel up-to-date and informed on best practices related to at-risk students. The network will provide the opportunity for school personnel from all areas to keep informed, share information and resources, and build a network of support with other campuses and districts.
The opioid epidemic has devastated lives and reached every socioeconomic group in the United States. While most are aware of the severity of the problem in adults, few people are aware of the risk of addiction in adolescents, especially girls. This session will discuss the risk of opioid misuse in adolescent girls, including information on how opioid use affects brain development, how to identify signs of opioid misuse, and where to go for resources and services.
