Building Emergent Literacy Skills in Children with Disabilities
Young children with disabilities face heightened risks for difficulties in language and literacy development; therefore, it is critical for educators to know how emergent literacy develops as well as be able to identify and use strategies to strengthen the foundational skills we need to become skilled readers. This workshop will not only covers these topics, but will provide a wealth of literacy based activities educators can implement immediately into their classrooms.
This interactive workshop will detail research-based interventions for building emergent literacy skills in young children with disabilities.
