The Best of Beat the Heat-2022

 

ESC Region 13’s “The Best of Beat the Heat-2022” is an on demand professional development opportunity for educators who work with students ages 3-21 with significant cognitive disabilities and low incidence disabilities.

“The Best of Beat the Heat” will feature a collection of the most relevant and meaningful instructional sessions from past summers to honor its 20+ year history!  These asynchronous video sessions will be available for educators to access at their own pace and convenience through a Canvas Course that will be available the entire month of June 2022.

Topics featured for “The Best of Beat the Heat” will center around Communication, Sensory/Motor, Assistive Technology, Instruction, Behavior, Transition, and Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE).  Novice and veteran educators are encouraged to attend.

Synchronous online sessions, live via Zoom, for the much anticipated “The Best of Beat the Heat” will include a kickoff on June 1st at 1:00pm Central Time with respected keynote speaker Sue Ball, PhD. And on June 30th at 9:00am Central Time popular keynote speaker, Anthony Ianni, will close the event.  After you've registered, be sure to log in to your ECampus account on June 1st and "Launch" the course to gain access to the Zoom links! You won't want to miss them!

In addition, for registered participants of The Best of Beat the Heat 2022, a Digital Taker Faire will be available.
