The workshops in the U.S. history series provide in-depth content
information on U.S history eras/topics of study related to TEKS for the
high school U.S. History course "U.S. History Since
Reconstruction." Each workshop includes a content
presentation plus related primary source documents and lessons.
11/20/08 Field Trip to Bush Library. We will leave from Region XIII promptly
at 7:30 a.m. and return about 6 p.m.
Join us for this field
trip to the Bush Presidential Library in College Station. The day
includes admission, a tour of the museum, a visit with the archivist,
study of primary documents in the archives, lunch, and bus
transportation. Tour includes permanent exhibits as well as the
current special exhibit, Beyond the Moon: NASA's Continuing Mission.
Archive topics include Texas v Johnson (flagburning), Desert
Storm, and others.
