This two-day training will explore incredibly dynamic, hands-on strategies for sheltering instruction in the content areas.  Participants will come away from this training with a comprehensive plan for successfully teaching ELLs that includes:

  • welcoming English learners
  • constructing language-rich, interactive classsrooms
  • differentiating instruction
  • planning instruction with the English Language Proficiency Standards (ELPS)
This workshop is designed for content area secondary and intermediate elementary school teachers. 
Participants will receive a copy of Sheltered Instruction Plus by John Seidlitz.
