This workshop builds expertise in the Texas English Language Proficiency Assessment System (TELPAS).

The morning session (9am – noon) will offer participants an overview of the system of assessments that make up the TELPAS, as well as the opportunity to deeper their understanding of the ELPS and how they relate to the TELPAS.

For participants interested in taking a deeper dive into the instructional implications of the TELPAS, the afternoon session (1pm-3pm) will offer the opportunity to explore the TELPAS as a formative tool. Participants will develop a deeper understanding of the data provided on TELPAS Confidential Student Reports, and how to make that data the starting point in meeting the needs of individual ELLs in the classroom.
