Guided Reading for the Bilingual Classroom

Implementing guided reading is complex, especially for the bilingual teacher.  

This workshop is designed for bilingual teachers who are new to guided reading, new to the role of bilingual teacher, or are simply looking to refine their expertise in guided reading.

During the workshop, we'll delve into the following topics:

  • Using running records to guide group dynamics
  • Differences in building initial literacy in Spanish and English
  • Guidance in transitioning students from Spanish to English
  • Reassessing reading levels and skill-based grouping
