The Biology STAAR Science: Strategies for Success series is designed as timely professional development using a common scope and sequence. Each session will take an in-depth look at the focus-area TEKS to help you plan a quality curriculum for your classroom. You’ll explore activities to promote hands-on learning while embedding critical thinking connections to reinforce key concepts for STAAR readiness. In addition, we will address T-TESS components relating to instructional planning and delivery, quality of the design and execution of lessons. TEKS, T-TESS and Timely Topics…all in one workshop!
In this workshop we will examine the science behind the Biology TEKS for 9B, 4A, 4B. 5A, and 5D. Teachers will receive electronic files of all of the activities we do together.
