A Model for Behavior Consultation in School-Based Settings
This workshop provides a model of consultation to schools derived from the science of applied behavior analysis, to include a best practice series of steps from initial referral through problem elimination. Topics addressed will include issues related to conducting functional analysis and behavioral interventions in school settings.
This workshop guides participants through:
- functional behavioral assessment
- functional analysis, treatment selection
- treatment evaluation, staff training
- generalization evaluations
- social validity issues
- follow-up processes
The target audience includes specialists and teachers serving children who demonstrate severe behavior in school settings, and may be especially beneficial to specialist-teacher teams.
