Implementing guided reading can be challenging--especially in the bilingual classroom. At the heart of guided reading is small-group reading instruction. The amount of time spent with each group is limited. Participants in this workshop will build expertise in implementing student-led groups that deepen comprehension skills while building language proficiency.
This workshop builds teacher capacity in the following T-TESS dimensions:
Planning Dimension 1.4: Activities
Instruction Dimension 2.4: Differentiation
Instruction Dimension 2.3: Communication
