Problem Solving in the K-2 Classroom

This course focuses on the development of operation sense in the primary grades which is the foundation for problem solving. Come explore instructional strategies for problem solving experiences including story mats, concrete models, exemplar problems, and open tasks.

This workshop supports T-TESS Domain 2, Instruction. Participants will deepen their content knowledge and expertise as they actively engage in problem types and instructional strategies that will allow their students develop the operation sense necessary for successful problem solving in the math classroom.
