CACFP: Planning Nutritious Snacks for Child Care & Healthier CACFP Recognition Award
Planning Nutritious Meals and Snacks for Child Care covers requirements, recommendations and tools for planning child care CACFP reimbursable, nutritious, economical, and delicious menus. Participants will receive hands-on experience developing menus that meet USDA meal pattern requirements and Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) recommendations. The class includes an overview of nutrition education resources offered to contracting entities (CEs).
We will also discuss TDA's Healthier CACFP Recognition Award.
