In this course, you will discover new ways to engage students in the popular practice of dictations. Dictations are often misconceived as outdated approaches to language instruction. However, over time they have been reinvented! During this workshop, you will learn a variety of different approaches and methods of how to incorporate dictations into your lessons.
Dictations can be used to guide students in pronunciation, spelling, listening comprehension, reading comprehension and vocabulary retention. Dictations are taught using 100% authentic resources that are culturally appropriate and can be scaled from beginner/false beginner to advanced learner. In addition to learning about the art of dictations, you will receive instruction on how to incorporate Active Vocabulary in reading comprehension activities and conversation techniques for all levels of language learners.
