This course is intended for new and experienced teachers who want to explore the art and science of questioning. This 3-hour course focuses on:  

  • Creating questions that pique students’ interest and engage them intellectually

  • Using critical thinking questions in a variety of activities designed to increase student involvement in a lesson

You can increase student engagement in your lessons by effectively creating and using questions to activate student participation and learning. By the end of this course, not only will you have new questioning strategies to bring back to your classroom, but you can also share these strategies with colleagues in order to increase engagement in your own grade level, department, or school.
