Just as teachers need coaches to help them learn and use new teaching strategies, coaches, administrators and other educators need coaches to help them develop and support flourishing coaching programs.
Region 13 is proud to offer Dr. Jim Knight's extensive knowledge and expertise that comes from over twenty years of research and study of Instructional Coaching. This series of one-day workshops is part of the Region 13's Jim Knight Instructional Coaching Institute, which can be taken as the intensive five-day institute, or independently as individual workshops.
Gathering Data and Setting PEERS Goals
This Workshop has reached capacity and is CLOSED
Based on the "Data Toolkit" in The Impact Cycle, and the data gathering information included in Focus on Teaching, this workshop provides coaches and administrators with a clear understanding of the data points- such as time on taks, ratio of interaction, teacher talk v.s. student talk, instructional v.s. non-instructional time, and so on - they will need to gather in classrooms to help teachers get a clear picture of reality, set goals and monitor progress toward goals.
Participants will receive a copy of the Gathering Data Workbook.
