CANCELED - MATH - 3rd Math STAAR Prep
COVID-19 UPDATE: This session has been canceled. Please check with the workshop contact for more details or reschedule options.

Join us for an AMAZING day of learning, collaboration, and FUN as we learn strategies to support students with the STAAR Math Assessment!

In this workshop, we will:

  • Unpack the "hard to learn, hard to teach" TEKS assessed on the STAAR assessment and identify opportunities to gain ground with students
  • Learn strategies and explore resources to support active, hands-on review for each reporting category on STAAR
  • Create a plan for implementation that spirals skills and supports differentiation

The Region 13 Content Services team strives to be:

Data-driven: Using longitudinal, regional data from 2017 to 2019, the Region 13 Math team looked at student expectations for grade 3. This workshop specifically targets the power standards that will support students in gaining ground.

Responsive to student learning needs: Participants will walk away with specific strategies to support mathematical discussions, as well as activities that target low-performing SEs.

Learner-centered: This workshop provides cooperative learning, stations, scavenger hunts, and a plethora of resources that can be used in the classroom the very next day.
