Join us for an engaging and informative live webinar workshop from our Region 13 Mental Health Series. The webinar will cover a trending topic in the mental health profession and equip participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to work effectively with their clients/students. We are looking forward to the presentation and learning from our presenter, R. Renee Cameron-Hernandez, MA, LPC, LMFT, NCC, TBRIR Educator. She is the Director of Program Training with STARRY.
This training will lay a foundation for insight, create a practical framework for intervention and application, and enhance understanding regarding interpreting behavior and responding appropriately. Participants will get a brief history of Trust-Based Relational Intervention® and learn the basics for each of the three TBRI® Principles:
- Connecting,
- Empowering, and
- Correcting.

Presenter’s Bio:
R. Renee Cameron-Hernandez is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who works as the Director of Program Training at STARRY. Renee attended Texas State University and received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and her Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling. Renee is currently a Doctoral student at Walden University studying Counselor Education and Supervision. Renee worked as a counselor at STARRY for 4 years before becoming their Training Coordinator and later, Director of Program Training for the Counseling, Foster Care, and Fatherhood Programs. She worked for over 5 years to implement trauma-informed care throughout STARRY services and the greater community. Renee is a Trust-Based Relational Intervention Educator® and Practitioner®. Renee is passionate about helping children and their families heal and grow.
