*** This is a practice session for administering the STAAR Alternate 2 state assessment. As a prerequisite, all participants must complete the free TX CAN online course, STAAR Alternate 2: Before, During and After the Assessment prior to taking this course.
In this session, training facilitators will review the key points of administering the STAAR Alternate 2 and discuss the different types of student response modes. Participants will work with released tests to gain experience and confidence in administering the STAAR Alt 2 to students with significant cognitive disabilities.
This workshop is appropriate for anyone who is administering the STAAR Alt 2. This is NOT a complete training and does NOT take the place of testing security training that is required in your district.
