CANCELED - Reading, Writing, Independence! A LID Literacy Framework Series for Teaching Students with Significant Cognitive Disabilities
This session has been canceled. Please check with the workshop contact for more details or reschedule options.

This 6 part LID Literacy Framework Series from Region 13 is designed to enhance literacy instruction for students with significant cognitive disabilities for teachers, speech-language pathologists, related services personnel, and other team members with at least 3 years of experience teaching literacy to students with significant cognitive disabilities.

Participants are highly encouraged to sign up and attend all 6 workshops throughout the year in order to build on each area of literacy instruction, however, each workshop can also serve as a standalone professional development opportunity.

You can register here for all 6 workshops or register for each workshop individually on their course description pages listed below.

Follow-up coaching through either an in person or a virtual platform will allow participants to gain a deeper dive experience and receive feedback and support on the implementation of covered content.  In addition to training, participating educators will receive materials for use in literacy instruction.

Materials and opportunties for follow up coaching will be given to all participants that work within ESC Region 13 Service Area.

Sessions will be held via combination of synchronous zoom and asynchronous Canvas course tasks.
