Dyslexia Book Study
Equipped for Reading Success
Join us for a journey through David Kilpatrick’s book
Equipped for Reading Success; A Comprehensive Step-by-Step Program for Developing Phonemic Awareness and Fluent Word Reading. This book study will provide you with the opportunity to meet virtually each month to discuss Dr. Kilpatrick’s ideas on phonemic awareness, orthographic mapping, and fluent word reading development and how these skills pertain to students with dyslexia and other struggling readers. We will explore the phonemic activities listed in the book and discuss how you can implement these activities in your intervention and dyslexia classrooms. All participants will need to purchase their own copy of the book Equipped for Reading Success; A Comprehensive Step-by-Step Program for Developing Phonemic Awareness and Fluent Word Reading by David Kilpatrick.
