This self-directed online course meets the six hour professional development requirement for teachers who serve gifted and talented students.
There are a large variety of differentiation techniques that can be used with advanced learners. This workshop presents differentiation techniques based on the proactive use of assessments in the classroom.
The main objectives of this course include:

We will explore differentiation in the classroom as an instructional method that benefits advanced learners.

We will practice making instuctional decisions based on assessment data.

We will explore proactive differentiation strategies including the use of enrichment and extension activities, as well as curriculum compacting for students.
