The SAMA 1-day Refresher course is designed to be a quick review of the basic principles, assisting process and physical skills. This course is designed to re-test skills that participants have previously been certified in during the basic 16-hour course. Although key material will be reviewed, this course is designed for participants who are proficient in the assisting process and physical skills and are looking to extend their certification period for another two years. If it has been more than two years since your last certification then it is considered expired and you will need to register for the Basic 16-hour course.
After a review, participants must be able to demonstrate ALL skills (verbal and physical) proficiently to have their certification renewed.
This refresher will not re-teach all the skills - only review, update, and re-test.
