Literacy Throughout the Day: Writing to Learn

This course is appropriate for teachers in K-5  who are interested in cross-curricular connections and applications in SCIENCE and ELAR.

 

 

Research has shown that the integration of literacy strategies within ALL content areas helps students construct and retain knowledge. Participants will engage in research based strategies that support student success in all subject areas.
 
This training focuses on Writing to Learn.

This Professional Development experience is considered to be a  CORE workshop.

·       Core Professional Development is considered foundational, the learning experiences are designed to be introductory in nature.
·       Core Professional Development is valuable for new teachers, teachers who are changing teaching assignments and teachers who are developing skills in a particular professional development pathway.
