ESTAR Academy 3-4

The Texas Response to Curriculum Focal Points (TXRCFP) was created from the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) and identifies critical areas for mathematics instruction at each grade level. The FIRST Elementary-School Students in Texas: Algebra Ready (ESTAR) training informed and familiarized participants with the TXRCFP as a framework for improving overall mathematics instruction and achievement in order to decrease the percentage of students who need math intervention.

The NEW ESTAR Academy trainings are designed to further define algebra readiness and discuss the implications for classroom instruction in grades K-4.
Participants will experience valuable classroom instructional strategies to support algebra readiness and explore supports and differentiation for diverse learners.

The $150.00 registration fee for this training has been waived  due  to state  funding through the TEKS PD grant.
Participants in the 2012-2013 ESC Region XIII Texas Regional Collaborative for Math should use their discount code to ensure that credit hours are properly documented.

All other participants should use the discount code TEKSPD1112.

This two-day ESTAR Academy (Elementary Students in Texas Algebra Ready)  builds on the knowledge gained in the original ESTAR training. The original training is not a pre-requisite for the academy; however, it is helpful to review the Texas Response to the Curriculum Focal Points prior to the workshop.
