The Listening and Note-Taking Strategy teaches students how to:

  • Identify important information during a lecture                                                                                       
  • Write quickly while listening to a lecture
  • Sort main ideas and details as they write, and
  • Study the information so they can earn the best test grades possible

The FRAME can be used for note-taking, research projects, writing, and unit reviews.  It can be used in any content area and with all students.

Participants will leave with a Listening and Note-Taking book that includes lessons and practice activities and a FRAME book that includes samples and templates of different types of FRAMES.

This is not a "Training of Trainers" workshop. To ensure the fidelity of these methods a SIM certification from the University of Kansas is required in order to provide professional development.
