Ethical Situations for School Evaluation Personnel

This 3-hour workshop was designed to stimulate thought and discussion around critical issue in the ethical practice of school psychology. Participants will have ample opportunity to consider contemporary case examples and engage in ethical decision making around issues related to assessment, counseling, and consultation. Participants are also encouraged to bring their own ethical dilemmas to the workshop for collaborative problem-solving.
Objectives of this workshop:
- To provide an overview of the Professional Code of Ethics for LSSPs
- To provide participants an opportunity to discuss and problem solve ethical issues that arise on a day to day basis through a case study approach.
- To discuss the issue of what constitutes "informed parental consent' based on the NASP standards vs. the requirement in federal regulations.
3 hours CPD for NASP available . This workshop may count toward Ethics training for LSSP's.
