The purpose of Language Proficiency Assessment Committee (LPAC) training is to provide educators and parents with updated information and requirements that must be considered in making assessment decisions for Limited English Proficient Students. Participants will examine Chapter 89: The Commissioner's Rules Concerning State Plan for Educating Limited English Proficient Students and review the LPAC Decision-making Manual for State Assessments. The successful completion of this LPAC training will certify each participant as an LPAC member and trainer of trainers.
This training is intended for districts that may be required to conduct LPAC meetings to make decisions regarding state assessments for ELLs who will be testing in December.
