 Hearing screening is required for students in:

• kindergarten
• first
• third
• fifth
• seventh grade
• any other first time entrants (4 years through 12th grade) are required 

  Participants will receive training required by the Texas Department of State Health Services to certify as a hearing screener to screen students.  Participants will acquire skills to accurately screen students and meet the the state mandates.   Nurses, health aides, teachers, volunteers may attend the training.   Certification is good for a period of 5 calendar years.   The continuing education(CE) credits do NOT apply for nursing credit.   Please bring audiometer and snacks.    If your plans change and you are not able to attend training please be courteous and cancel. When you cancel if there is a waiting list this will give those on the list an opportunity to take the training. Thank you for your cooperation.
