The participant will become a certified facilitator who can lead participants through the basic SAMA 16 hour course. The SAMA program focuses on preventing aggression from becoming physically harmful. The emphasis of the course is on using the Assisting Process in all interactions and is demonstrated in all four programs: Basic Principles and Assisting Process, Protection of Self and Others, Containment (Restraint), and Object Retrieval.
Participants must be able to attend from 9:00 to 4:30 for ALL 5 days of the course and show competency in all four areas of the program to receive certification. If you miss a day for any reason, you will not be able to complete the competencies needed to pass this course.
Registration includes one site license and all needed materials to facilitate this course. If you need to train more than one person, but only need one license (trainers can share materials) please enter discount code of "nolicense", and that will reduce your cost for an additional trainer to $655.00.
