Just as teachers need coaches to help them learn and use new teaching strategies, coaches, administrators and other educators need coaches to help them develop and support flourishing coaching programs.

Region 13 is proud to offer Dr. Jim Knight's extensive knowledge and expertise that comes from over twenty years of research and study of Instructional Coaching. This series of one-day workshops is part of the Region 13's Jim Knight Instructional Coaching Institute, which can be taken as the intensive five-day institute, or independently as individual workshops.

This workshop provides information on simple but very important actions principals should take to support coaches. It guides coaches and principals through a series of discussions so that, together, coaches and principals can make decisions about issues such as top priorities, how coaches use their time, policies around confidentiality, enrolling teachers in coaching, and other important topics.
