Early Childhood Outcomes, SPP 7: Fall 2019

The State of Texas requires all districts and charter schools to document student outcomes in three specific areas of development within 30 days of entry into Preschool Programs for Children with Disabilities. This is a requirement for all PPCD students ages 3 through 5.  The training will address the State Performance Plan Indicator # 7, Early Childhood Outcomes.

Participants will:

  • learn the 3 areas to assess for progress monitoring,

  • learn what the state requirements are for the indicator, and

  • practice and learn how to complete data for the Child Outcome Summary Form (COSF).

Come join us for a  half day session (9 am-12:30)  about the child outcome summary process. Have time to learn about the three outcome areas and  experience hands-on practice with case studies. Leave feeling confident that you can gather and summarize student data for federal reporting purposes.

Since SPP 7 is a federal reporting requirement, all PPCD teachers, dually certified PreKindergarten teachers, Speech-language pathologists who serve PPCD students, and other personnel who serve PPCD students will need training in  Early Childhood Outcomes.

If more information or additional practice is needed, instructor will be available in the afternoon for individualized work sessions on the day of the training (1:30-3:30).

For an overview of the three outcomes, you can watch a short video by visiting the ECTA (Early Childhood Technical  Assistance Center's website at:
