RISE Disciplinary Alternative Education Program 2020 Conference-Online

This workshop will include a live webinar keynote presented via zoom beginning at 9:00 a.m.  The rest of the workshop will be self-paced for you to choose the pre-recorded breakout sessions of your choice to design your own unique learning experience. This will offer particpants the ability to access a blended conference - where the beginning is live and will have engaged audience members.  Then after the keynote session is concluded, the attendees can move through the remainder of the CANVAS course at their own pace.  We hope you will find this format engaging and relevant to your needs at this time!

Resilience  Integrity  Strength  Equity ~  RISE Conference 2020

Come join us August 3rd as we learn and grow together as professionals passionate about supporting our school-aged youth!

Our RISE conference is designed for anyone who works with at-risk or struggling youth, especially DAEP/JJAEP administrators, counselors, school-based therapists, teachers, support staff, juvenile probation officers, and school resource officers.

The conference kicks off with a live presentation, Customizing Expectations while Raising Compassions from our keynote speaker, Marti Smith, OTR/L, an Occupational Therapist specializing in trauma intervention. Marti will share easy intervention strategies that will help decrease power struggles and foster healthy relationships.
