Using TELPAS to Improve Instruction (3 part series)

In 2021-22,  Using TELPAS to Improve Instruction is a series of 3 meetings set to take place from 1-4 pm on 9/23/2021, 11/18/2021 and 1/20/2022 at the Region 13 ESC. Upon registration, you will be enrolled to attend all 3 meetings of the series. Participants are encouraged to come prepared with access to their district TELPAS data from Spring of 2021.

The focus of each meeting will break down as follows:

September 23: A look at TELPAS data, using the proficiency level descriptors as a monitoring tool, and differentiating instruction in the classroom.

November 18: Checking in on fall progress, thinking about classroom activities that prepare students for the listening, speaking, reading, and writing they will be asked to do on TELPAS, and practicing with release tests.

January 20: Goal setting with students, effectively communicating the purpose of TELPAS with student and parent, planning to receive authentic test results.
