In this interactive workshop you will learn and practice structured ways to increase the rigor of classroom academic talk with cooperative thinking strategies. You will learn how to teach students explicit structures for collaborative work based upon strong social skills and understanding others' perspectives. You'll explore explicit ways to teach students how to coach each other.We know providing a learning environment to ensure equity for all students will positively mpact their learning.
Additionally, you'll consider how a school wide vision and high expectations for all students will build collective efficacy of both teachers and sutdnets. Integrating practices to support Social Emotional Learning of students will be a focus of the day. Building the self-efficacy and agency of students will impact student achievement.
