Math: Maximizing Math STAAR Review Time (Grade 3)

Don’t try to cram a whole year’s worth of instruction into a few days of review. Instead, learn to maximize your classroom review time by identifying TEKS clusters of the highest need, and create a plan that will effectively address these needs within a reasonable amount of time. In this workshop, we will:

  • Review 2023 STAAR assessment items and regional data to determine the areas of highest need.
  • Explore ready-to-use classroom strategies and resources to support active, hands-on review.
  • Create a plan for implementation that spirals skills and supports differentiation.

This workshop will be based on patterns observed in regional data regarding student STAAR math performance on the Grade 3 - Algebra I SEs. In this workshop, we will explore how to make rich mathematical discussions part of your daily routine. This workshop will provide you with great resources and include activities that you can implement in your classroom immediately!
