The main objective of this course is to establish an understanding of the essential structures for district and school wide implementation of a Multi-Tiered System of Support to support the learning of all students.
By the end of the course, you will identify the essential actions you would need to take to build a robust MTSS system. These actions include, but aren't limited to, using universal screeners in all grades, identifying cut scores or decision rules for placement in tier 2 and 3 interventions, monitoring student progress with a clear data collection plan, creating an effective MTSS team, and ensuring a common vision and purpose that includes all stakeholders.
This hybrid course includes synchronous learning as well as asynchronous learning. You will attend virtual workshops on specific dates and complete self-paced coursework at your own pace and time.
