This 6-hour workshop is for anyone brand new to, or 1 to 3 years into, teaching a World Language course in Texas. Participants will leave with a robust teacher toolkit to help students successfully (and joyfully!) acquire language in the classroom as we decode the TEKS, investigate student proficiency levels, plan with backward design and leverage the lesson cycle. Participants will become familiar with the 6 ACTFL Core practices with a focus on developing skills in target language instruction.
