The GYO Summer Institute brings together teachers and administrators who participate in the GYO High School Education and Training pathway grant. Our aim is for participants to be clear, compelled, and confident to successfully implement the grant.
Participants will engage in sessions about grant guidelines, resources, and implementation support to build a district action plan based on their long-term talent needs. Representatives from the career and technical student organizations—TAFE and FCCLA—will provide information on how to successfully set up and grow student chapters. Throughout the institute, teachers and administrators will have the opportunity to network and share ideas on topics such as student recruitment, dual credit, field site coordination, and instructional planning.

What to bring: All participants should bring a laptop. Additionally, teachers should bring any additional materials they need for instructional planning.
