Don't just attend a GT annual update training this year, build your own. You are invited to be a part of a cohort of gifted teachers that are looking for a way to connect and build a community of support for each other. We will discuss only the topics that the group wants to discuss. We will engage in real conversations about your classrooms and needs. And the best part is, you will come away from this opportunity with resources, ideas, and plans that will benefit your students.
We will meet 7 times this school year, during after school hours, via Zoom, to support implementation of practices in your classroom for gifted and talented services.
Each meeting will be facilitated by an ESC Specialist. The agenda for all meetings will include:
- State/Local GT updates, as available
- Requested topics of interest related to GT instruction
- Q&A session, open discussion related to your immediate needs
- Relevant and current practices for use in classroom instruction to meet needs of students who are gifted
We ask participants to actively participate, including using the video and audio zoom features to best support our adult learning community! We look forward to meeting you and strengthening our local GT teacher community.
Update! During our first session participants asked for flexibility with session times in order to meet the need for work/life balance. I am happy to share that I will now be offering two sessions each day to meet your needs. The first session will be from 3:30 - 4:30 p.m. ; the second session will be from 4:30 - 5:30 p.m.
