RLA: Writing Across Curriculum (K-2)

In this course, educators will explore best-practice, build on foundational knowledge and skills needed to implement writing across all content areas.  This course focuses on implementation of on-going standards and classroom routines.



In this course the learner will experience: 

  • The Importance of Writing Best Practices

  • Connecting Reading and Writing

  • Ways to incorporate Reader’s Response

  • Using Mentor texts

  • Implementing the Writing process

  • Supporting Writing through Small Group Instruction

  • Opportunities to embed Writing in all content areas
