As educators, we are at a higher risk of compassion fatigue and mental health challenges. Mental Health First Aid for Adults is a proactive course that will teach you the skills and basic knowledge to support teachers, administrators, and even parents on your campus. You'll learn how to recognize signs of mental health or substance use challenges in adults ages 18 and older, how to offer and provide initial help, and how to guide a person toward appropriate care if necessary. Topics covered include anxiety, depression, psychosis, and addictions.
Please note that registration for all Mental Health First Aid courses close approximately two weeks before the class training date. This allows participants to complete the required pre-work.
