Statewide STEM for Leadership (2-Day Intensive)
A Deep Dive into the TEA Vision for STEM Education

This two-day immersive state-wide professional development designed by the Texas Education Agency prepares K-12 campus administrators and STEM leaders to shape, support, and sustain STEM initiatives within their district, campus or organization. Participants will learn by doing, engaging directly in the instructional approaches most critical to the STEM endeavor: project-based learning, design-based challenges, and computational thinking. Working backwards from a model vision for STEM education, the session culminates with leaders collaboratively planning for real-life implementation of STEM programming. Registration includes a 347-page participant guide.

Testimonials from Past Participants

  • This was a very informative session with lots of information presented in easy-to-digest bites so that you feel empowered to go back to your campuses and begin tackling projects to make your STEM program even better!
  • This training provided me with the tools to successfully present STEM instruction to my campus and upper administration in a meaningful way. It allowed for me to digest the information in bite-size amounts that were both relevant and actionable without being overwhelming.
  • This is an amazing presentation on STEM goals and teaching practices that ALL administrators need to hear! Just as STEM is not separately Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math in isolation but rather the incorporation of the content across all areas, a good STEM program does not exist with only one or a few teachers.
