The Personalized Classroom: Setting a Strong Foundation for Blended Learning

This learning experience is designed to serve as an exploration of blended and personalized learning pedagogy through the lens of foundational skills. By the end of the course, each participant will have a stronger sense of the blended and personalized learning framework. Participants will complete the course with concrete ideas, developed resources, and a plan for shifting toward a blended and personalized learning framework.

Beyond the autonomous learning experiences the course offers to individual participants, a comprehensive PLC Course Companion Guide is embedded in the course as an option for groups of educators who want to deepen and connect their understanding.

During this course experience, learners will:

  • Define blended learning and understand the different implementation models.

  • Become familiar with the Blended & Personalized Learning Implementation Continuum, an instructional framework that will help refine strategies for implementing blended learning.

  • Understand what a playlist is and how to approach creating one.

  • Develop and share a plan with actionable steps for launching blended learning in the classroom.

For participants who are interested, there is an option to submit a classroom artifact to receive a badge that can be shared on your social network profiles, resumé, or email signature. This is an optional task and is not necessary for participants to receive a completion certificate.
