These 6 week Signing Exact English (SEE) sessions focus on helping students to grow their receptive and expressive SEE vocabulary base, fluency, and expressiveness. Topics discussed will be Total Communication, SEE, ASL, fingerspelling strategies, visual features, muscle memory, confidence building, and interpreting strategies. These classes are suitable for professional interpreters or those seeking to be interpreter certified.
Every week a new lesson will be taught along with opportunities for receptive and expressive practice. Students will apply the new vocabulary using stories, songs, games and other various applications that encourage fluency and fluidity. Mini lessons will be taught on the SEE principles, fingerspelling, and visual features that conceptualize this English sign system.
