This Make-and-Take workshop will provide new RLA teachers with hands-on activities that support all learners and help you become a rockstar teacher in the classroom. This course will address the following:


  • Setting up Reader/Writer Notebooks 

  • Establishing an Independent Reading Routine 

  • Strategies for Reader Engagement and Response 

  • Establishing an Independent Writing Routine 

  • Instructional Pacing 

  • Data Tracking

  • Building Classroom Community
