Description: This course, tightly aligned to new 24-25 Social Studies TEKS revisions,  is designed to enhance students' skills in engaging respectfully and thoughtfully in conversations while navigating today’s media landscape. Participants will delve into strategies for fostering constructive dialogue and developing a keen understanding of media content. By the end of the course, you’ll be equipped with  tools to foster meaningful classroom discussions and critically assess media sources.

Key Learning Outcomes:

  •  Civil Discourse: Learn techniques for maintaining respect and empathy in classroom discussions.
  • Evaluate Media Sources: Develop skills to critically analyze and verify media content.
